Connected societies are more prosperous communities. Advanced networking and related technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT) are unleashing new opportunities for businesses and the public to reap economic and social benefits. Today, these disruptive technologies are equipping us with the ability to ‘know more (with greater certainty) than ever before’. A trend that will only accelerate in the years ahead. Robert Bauer will explore how we are harnessing the power of these technologies and putting them to work to seize new opportunities; create new decision-making capabilities; and achieve greater impact on society. This includes the insurance industry and the many sectors it serves – from intelligent transportation and autonomous vehicles to smart cities, digital government, smart energy, resource management and worker safety.
